If most of your favorite TV shows are on CBS, you’re not alone. CBS has been ranked as the #1 television network for 11 straight seasons.
With that kind of popularity on its side, the network’s choice to create the CBS All Access streaming service is something even Sheldon Cooper would approve of. CBS All Access shows include your current and classic network favorites, along with original shows.
We’ve watched more than our share of CBS shows, including all 20-something iterations of NCIS. (To be fair, there could be more; we’ve lost count.) Our CBS All Access review will help you decide whether this service is worth the price.
What Is CBS All Access?
If you’ve been wondering, what is CBS All Access, it’s a streaming service that focuses on CBS shows. As a streaming service, the programming arrives on your screen via your Internet connection.
Unlike fuboTV, Xfinity Instant TV, or Hulu Live, CBS All Access only focuses on programming available now or in the past on the CBS network. It doesn’t show programming from other networks or other live channels.
CBS All Access is an add-on service, so you cannot receive it with your current pay-TV package from DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse, or Comcast Xfinity. It’s not available as CBS All Access with cable subscription. You have to order it separately.
If you aren’t quite ready for CBS All Access and are instead seeking a subscription TV service that includes the CBS network, we’ve reviewed the best TV service providers to help you.
